Update

I know, I know....I'm slacking big time in the blog world. Besides blogging everything else in my life is at full force. I have been busy busy busy. I am loving Appalachian though, and my photography classes have been great! I have come to realized that most of my time here will be spent in the dark room and the photo lab printing pictures. I'm definitely a beginner but I'm starting to get used to it! Hey, it's only the 5th week of school. How much better can I be right now? It is starting to get colder! Right now it is not that bad, I just need to get my big coat in time for the real cold. I went to my first Appalachian football game last Saturday and I absolutely loved it! I am so glad it's football season! Although I miss cheering on the track, I really enjoyed the bleachers this game. Here are a few pictures from last game day!

Trash talking?

I'm really in the heart of the high country

All packed and ready to go!
By the way, all the stuff I brought barely fit in my car and my dad's honkin' truck.

What? Are you serious? Am I really in Boone?
I cannot believe it is time for school to start ALREADY!
I am excited though, surprisingly enough. I'm ready to start learning. I got my books today and besides the fact that all together they are really heavy, I was ready to crack them open and start studying! I am enjoying the fact that I have my own home away from home and I am going to love decorating, but there is one major problem, no job, no money. (working on that one) I need to really thank my mom and Oma for helping me out with getting stuff for my apartment! I love you both :)
Now, with out further ado...my apartment!

(don't pay attention to the white walls or lack of pillows: that will be changed)

I love my closet!

 Details:

First dinner with the roomie! It was so good let me tell you! We had squash and zucchini mixed with noodles (with extra stuff which I forgot), salad, and some sparkling grape juice (don't judge, i love it) in our lovely rocky mountain elk foundation glasses!

Check back for updates on decorations and new additions (I need a keyboard SOON before my stress kicks in)

Cooking with Katie

I feel like that title could be the next cooking show on the food network :)

If you went to NRCA and you had Mrs. Trawick as a teacher you know about this cake. Katie emailed her the other day and got the recipe and we had to bake it right away! I hope we did it justice!!

On another note:
I have two days at home until I am in Boone. I'm gonna miss Raleigh, but I can't wait to be up in the mountains!
Im gonna miss Rockman...and his funny faces :)

So proud of my big brother with his intership! He's all grown up :) haha

Can I take Pepsi with me!? I'm going to miss waking up with her sleeping on my lap! She is the cute little ball of fur!

Best Friends:

Me and katie set up a photo booth and had a little fun!

Morehead City- Farewell Summer

I think this trip was planned at the beginning of summer and finally we were at Morehead City, but it went by so fast! I had such a great time with my girls! The weather was beautiful all 5 days and it was amazing being on the beach for the last time this summer. Here is a glimpse of the trip!

This one is by far my favorite of the whole trip. It is plastered over my background on my laptop! My mom did a great job taking pictures!

In this one I always think of the paper cut outs of people!

Oh I love you guys! We had some great moments on this trip! Thank you for making it so much fun for me! I'm going to miss you all while I'm in Boone!

Sneak Peek!

Last trip of the summer was with some of my best friends and here is just a little picture that I couldn't wait to post on my blog. I haven't even left Morehead City yet!

It's so simple but the purple makes it POP! I looooove the wood too! Someone just left it there and it was just waiting for me to take its picture!
