If you come to my home in Raleigh you will always find Pepsi girl by the window and Rocky on the porch! They are set in their ways in their old age, but the continue to be the best pets in the world!

Finally! I can put these on my blog! I am so excited! I have been waiting patiently and now the time is finally here! Elizabeth and Patrick tied the knot on February 19, 2012! Woop woop. So now that Patrick has seen miss Elizabeth in her dress I can now post it so everyone else can see her beautiful portraits! Here you go!

New Look!

I am so happy to have finished this project of mine! Through research and deep thought of what colors best describe me, I have finally decided! As you can see I picked blue and yellow. If someone were to ask me to go to my happy place it would be the beach, on a boat, in the sun; and the colors blue and yellow remind me so much of that happiness when i think of the beach!

6 Things You Will Need for a Winter Shoot!

(1) A warm jacket to keep you warm so its possible to function and in one of your pockets carry a set of hand warmers so you can warm your hands up when there is a break!

(2) You will need to find some nice shady spots. When the sun is right in a person's face, it causes lines and shadows that will not create the best photo. To avoid this, place your subject with their backs toward the sun causing a halo effect. 

(3) Have an assistant that will make you laugh and place things on top of your head while you're working to make your subjects laugh!

(4) Bring a blanket for your two lovebirds to snuggle up in! 

(5) Bring a stool (especially if you're shorter than your clients! It helps to get different perspectives in photos. Most of the time it is more flattering on your subjects when a picture is taken from a little bit higher.

(6) Bring your leg muscles! Make sure you feel that burn when your shooting! (I call it my exercise...but its really just an excuse not to go to the gym)

Aryn & Chris: Engagement Session

Oh my goodness, I am so overwhelmed with happiness to post these photos on my blog! Words cannot express how grateful I am to Aryn and Chris for being my guinea pigs! I will be so thankful to them always for this!

The last few photo shoots I have had planned have all been rained out and I prayed that there would be no rain for Aryn and Chris. Thankfully God provided and the morning was so refreshing and sunny! Even with the crisp, cold air, I enjoyed every minute of the shoot!

Aryn and Chris are perfect for each other! I know Aryn through high school. When I was a freshman cheerleader, she was a senior cheerleader. For the short amount of time I got to know Chris, he was so sweet to Aryn and I could tell that they were such a good match.
