Ah! This one is really hard for me. There are so many moments when I look back that I wish I could relive and to pick one is so hard for me. When I think about it, my mind goes back to sports and high school (mainly senior year)...so im going to cheat a little bit and not just pick one, but seven memories I would like to relive.
In chronological order (earliest to latest events):
First moment would be performing the routine from my sophomore year, and also going back to that year in cheerleading would be lovely. I think that was one of the best years I had not only because we were successful, but the nationals was the best!
Second moment would have to be the 4th of July beach trip in 2009. This trip was one of the best I've ever been on with friends! It was amazing! :)
Third moment: winning powderpuff for the second time in a row! We were beasts!
Fourth moment is in this exact second of when this picture was taken. This was probably one of my favorite plays I ever made in softball....and yes, she was out, and I was dirty.
Fifth moment: VAL-O-GRAMS!
..especially with my girls :)
Seventh moment: (Last but definitely NOT least)
This picture makes me want to cry because I miss it so much. Watching Westin play made me so happy! Again, this exact moment is what I wanna go back to: the moment when Westin walks off of the football field all sweaty and tired, and the moment we get to hug. It never mattered if I got all wet from the sweaty uniform. I loved it.
Triangle Flight of Honor is such an amazing event that I never would have known if it wasn't for Wes and his family! His Great Granddad is a WWII veteran and this organization flies the triangle's senior veterans up to Washington D.C. to see the WWII memorial and a bunch of other things! It was so cool experiencing the welcoming home of all these amazing men and women! I just loved seeing their faces of happiness and thankfulness when they were walking through the airport!
My handsome daddy waiting for it to begin! :)
Right now...he is not a happy camper:
They had all the veterans walk through the center and the next three pictures are the best of the whole night! The third one is when Wes' Great Granddad realizes where we are all standing! He's so happy!
Yesterday I went to prom for the third time with my third-year-in-a-row prom date! I had so much fun and everyone looked beautiful and handsome!
First, we went to North Ridge Country Club for dinner! I learned that my dress is a magnet for stains. At least it wasn't too bad or noticeable! Second, we went to the Cotton Company and I learned that Josh Ferrell, Tyler Florio, and Luke Miller can dance like crazy! I had so much fun just watching!
It was such a good night! My date was such a gentleman! :)
Throughout the course of this semester I have been challenged with speaking in front of people in my Public Speaking class. Let me tell you, it has been a rough road, but now my fear of speaking in front of people is almost entirely gone! Although I hate it, I have to admit that this class has helped me immensely!
My next speech is tomorrow and it has to be a persuasive speech. Lordy, I am not good at persuading. I am not a very powerful speaker. I am more of a soft spoken person better for the commemorative type speeches, so this will be a definite challenge for me.
The topic I chose is about eating right. It is based off of the book that I am holding and also the book "Eat to Live" by Joel Fuhrman. Hopefully all goes well and I get an A! :)
So there's been a little change in plans for the 30 Day Photo Challenge. Instead of the face book version that everyone is doing, I found a blog version. Since day four of the new challenge is the same as the day three in the face book challenge, I decided to do days 1-3 of the blog style challenge just to catch up!
A Favorite Song:
This is a very hard one for me because I have so many songs that I listen to on a regular basis, but I can never decide on one favorite song. For the sake of this blog entry I'll just pick one of my favorites.
One song that I always seem to go back to is "Hung the Moon" by Drew Holcomb & the Neighbors. It's such a simple song and the words are so good!
i like the way you hung the moon, uh huh. well i just like being close to you, uh huh. when you're gone i feel so blue, uh huh. yeah, i like the way you hung the moon uh huh.
i like the way you know that dance, uh huh. i like the way you hold my hand, uh huh. just spin me all across the floor, uh huh. yeah, i like the way you know that dance, uh huh.
well i like the way you sing your songs, uh huh. you've been singing to me all along, uh huh. the way you loved me won my heart, uh huh. yeah, i like the way you sing your songs, uh huh.
i put on that white dress for you, uh huh. i told preacher man, "Well yes I do." uh huh. i'll stay and i'll grow gray with you, uh huh. yeah, i put on that white dress for you, uh huh.
A Favorite Movie:
Why are favorite's so hard to choose?! Well, recently I was reminded of my favorite movie from a long time ago! She's The Man!! I love Amanda Bynes in movies and I basically know every quote! haha
A Favorite Book:
Honestly my favorite book is the book I last read, "The Rescue." It is probably my favorite Nicholas Sparks so far. I read it in the matter of 3 days and I loved it!
If there is one thing I can say about Wes is that he is a servant. He loves to serve other people. I don't think there is a day that goes by when he isn't helping someone. With that in mind...
It is my privilege to announce on my blog that Westin Haas is officially a firefighter! (He even got a T-shirt!) I am so proud of his hard work that he has put into it, and it has all paid off! Congratulations Westin!
I love my Papa so much! This morning I was feeling good and he wanted a picture of me by the tulips that he grew, so I went outside and had him take photo of me! He called me a beautiful, southern miss! So creative and it inspired me for my next blog post! :)
I love you Papyy!! Thank you for all the chicken minis!
